Theme of the Symposium

The main topics of the symposium will be the changes which are going on in ideological, psychosocial, political, economic and technological living conditions and everyday life of the elderly and their families. The symposium will focus especially on the changes in Western welfare countries and on the diffficulties which they have met in organizing policies and service systems for the elderly during the 1990's.

The symposium will be organized together with the I.A.G. European Region Clinical Section.

Participants are expected to submit papers dealing with different aspects of the theme.

Participation is not limited to presenting papers, but in case of overlooking preference will be given to them. Participation fee is 150 USD.


Second call and confirmation of participation

Second call which includes registration, abstracts form and specific details about accommodation arrangements will be sent during December, 1997.

Forms of registration and abstracts forms will have to be submitted by the 15th of February, 1998. Final confirmation of participahon and acceptance of papers will be announced by the end of March, 1998.
