18th Nordic Congress of Gerontology will be held in May 28-31, 2006, in Jyväskylä, Finland. The main theme of this Congress is Innovations for an Ageing Society with suggested themes related to the ageing society, ageing and work, dementia, depression, disability, drug use and pharmaceutical treatment, environment and ageing, ethnicity and migration, falls, functional ageing, genetics, gerontechnology, globalization, historical enquiries of ageing, inequality in ageing, interdisciplinarity, life course, life styles, longevity, old age policy and care, osteoporosis, pain, retirement, theories of ageing, third age, traffic, and well-being.
This congress is organised by the Nordic Gerontological Federation together with Societas Gerontologica Fennica, the Finnish Society for Growth and Aging Research, Finnish Geriatricians and the Finnish Centre for Interdisciplinary Gerontology.
